What is this problem that iscauaing my sore throatas?

So last week my throat started to hurt and as the week went on it got better. My whole throat I hurt it was just when I moved my tounge to different sides. It got better until yesterday, late in the day my left side starts to hurt. So as I woe up today my left side on hurt. So while I was in the shot I decided to put my finger down my throat, not far enough to gagg. I felt bumps in the back of my tounge, the left wide which the pain was comming from had a big bump. I pressed on it and that was where the pain was comming from when I move it tounge around. What is that bump I presses on and will it go away by it self?
