After the death of our oldest dog, our puppy is heartbroken, please help.?

my dog might have to get put down. she's 11 and i have a 3 year old dog who loves her so much. she's all sad laying in the cage next to her. melika(depressed dog) LOVES foood like LOVES food, and she wouldn't eat for like 3 days. if your dog won't eat, put its food in your hand and sit down with it to eat. pet it and give it attention. walk it more often. my dog usually was depressed in the past when it's older sister died for like 2 months. the new dog really does help though, we always get a new one shortly after one dies. the dog has a new friend, and has a new puppy to focus on. u also feel better putting your time and energy into loving a new puppy.
