Stock trailer?

I have been seeing them recently in my area (Western US) starting at $1200, that would be for one with working brakes, good wiring, and replaced floors. Often also having been repainted. This price is for a 1970's era Steadman 2 horse; which is sort of the standard small trailer with a removeable partition for easier loading of sketchy horses. Also, by the way, a stock trailer is something different, it's generally used more for transporting cattle and is a different configuration. Sounds like you're looking for a "2 horse straight load" trailer. Check Craigslist in your area. Keep in mind that the entire horse industry is pretty depressed right now, with many items selling at an all-time low price, with a glut of horses on the market and a recession coming. Keep this in mind when you're bargaining; lots of people are trying to get out of the horse business right now.
